Mary's mother was Elizabeth (Murphey) Simmons, born on June 20th, 1847 in Illinois. Elizabeth died in Fontana, Miami County, Kansas on December 10th, 1928 and is buried in the Fontana Cemetery, Miami County, Kansas.
